Fairmont Auxilary Members Update

The homecoming performance is quickly approaching, and we are very excited to start practicing for this year’s event. The practice schedule is listed below, and please remember you need to attend one practice prior to the Wednesday & Thursday evening practices of homecoming week. If you live out of state, or have school or work conflicts and still would like to dance, please contact Cindy Hack ( 436-1469 ) or Kim Wasky 937-293-4619 so we can attempt to accommodate you! Even if you cannot attend a practice to perform the Auxiliary routine – you are still welcome to join us for the fight song and Long Train.

Rehearsal Schedule is Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8PM at John F Kennedy Elementary School in the parking lot on the cafeteria (south) side. August 4, 11, 18 and 25, September 1 and 8th, Thursday, September 15th MANDATORY practice at the Board of Education (old Barnes) from 7:00PM to 9:00PM (This will be when we practice with the current band).

We are currently determining the song for this year’s performance. We will be wearing our black pants with black shoes, and possibly neon colored shirts.

We are looking forward to seeing each of you in the next few weeks. Thank you for all of your support,

-Cindy and Kim

Homecoming is September 16

So here comes another year of homecoming summer practices but also a changing of the “guard”. I will not be associated with choreographing the Auxiliary dance however, I will continue to assist Mike Berning and my replacements this year by answering questions and providing information but will not be performing homecoming.

Cindy Hack & Kim Wasky last year offered to take my place as after 11 years and many injuries and health issues I had decided to step down (and you people thought I was kidding). Mike Berning will be making some additional changes due to budget cuts within the school district.

I hope and expect each of you to work as hard for Cindy & Kim as you did for me – if not I, many come kick some butt! While changes can be scary, they always seem to turn out for the best. I am sure Cindy & Kim will bring new life into the Auxiliary and everyone will continue to have fun with homecoming.

Cindy & Kim are working with Mike Berning regarding this year’s music, so I am sure everyone will hear music selections and practice dates soon.

Thank you all for your hard work, support, and friendship for the past years.

-Tina
